In April, the College and Career Readiness and Success (CCRS) Center presented a four-part series of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-related posts that aligned with U.S. News STEM Solutions Conference (April 23-25) and the USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C. (April 26-27).
The blog posts in this series, authored by Clarisse Haxton, senior researcher and technical assistance liaison with the CCRS Center, provide resources and considerations for districts, states, and regions interested in implementing STEM programs:
- Identifying Quality STEM Programs highlights two organizations that have developed rubrics for evaluating the quality of STEM programs.

State STEM Networks and Partnerships describes the benefits of establishing
STEM partnerships and highlights STEMx, a multistateSTEM network. - STEM In a Box mentions two states that have implemented “STEM in a box” programs, which provide teachers with materials and professional development to assist with incorporating STEM into the classroom.
- Considerations for Implementing STEM Programs presents several important issues that should be considered when implementing STEM programs.
