What Works in the High School Results-based Staff Development

This report gives an overview of the relationship between student achievement and teacher quality. The first part of the report highlights the impact of teacher quality on student achievement and the role of professional learning. The second part describes several staff development programs that were selected on the basis of a set of criteria and summarizes the impact these programs have on student achievement.
