Ticket to Nowhere: The Gap between Leaving High School and entering College and High-performance Jobs

Unpublished

This study examines how prepared students are for entering into college without need for remediation through the evaluation of standards, assessments and graduation requirements. Findings show that with the exception of New York, Massachusetts and Maryland, that used tests to raise standards, most tests were inconsistent and not aligned with state standards.
