Prior Year High School Graduates in the Florida Community College System

This study evaluates which high school graduates attending the Florida Community College System would be eligible to attend the State University System (SUS) based on the change in admission criteria, which allows for the acceptance of any student graduating in the top 20% of their class who also completed the 19 credits required for admission. Findings revealed that around 16% of the students from the graduating class met the admission requirements for the SUS, ethnic and gender differences for eligibility occurred, and a significant portion of students that participated in dual enrollment courses met admission requirements as well.
