Response to Intervention: A Transformational Approach

This policy brief sponsored by the National Educational Association discusses response to intervention (RTI) and provides a general overview. The brief highlights three NEA recommendations to support RTI implementation: 1) promote policy changes in higher education to include RTI in pre-service and professional development programs; 2) advocate for funding at the state and federal levels for professional development on RTI; and 3) encourage state level collaboration between NEA state affiliates, state departments of education and other professional organizations.
