The Long-term Outcomes of Puente

This study examines the long-term educational outcomes of Puente, a precollege outreach program, through interviews with Puente and non-Puente students. Findings showed that Puente did positively impact students’ college participation, persistence in college and college preparedness, and students typically attributed their success to the Puente counselor who provided knowledge and information.
