Informal Learning and Transfer of Learning: How New Trade and Industrial Teachers Perceive Their Professional Growth and Development


The purpose of this study was to contribute to the body of research regarding informal learning and transfer of learning by focusing on the school workplace rather than the corporate workplace. This study was designed to examine those teaching competencies that new T&I teachers learn formally and those competencies they learn informally, and if a relationship exists between formal or informal learning and teachers' perceived transfer of learning of core teaching competencies.
