This study examined the impact of the National Institute of School Leadership’s (NISL's) Executive Development Program (EDP), which provides professional development to school leaders. The study compared the relationship between principals’ participation in EDP and school-level performance in English language arts and mathematics. Results indicated that in both subjects, schools led by EDP principals improved at a greater rate than matched comparison schools.
